Ronald S. Lauder Steps Down from Estée Lauder Board, Eric Zinterhofer Appointed as New Member

On Friday, Estée Lauder Companies (EL) announced the retirement of Ronald S. Lauder from its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Following his retirement, the Board has elected Eric Zinterhofer as a director.

According to the stockholders' agreement with the Lauder family, Lauder is entitled to appoint two members to the board. His daughter, Jane Lauder, will maintain her position on the Board, while Lauder has chosen his son-in-law, Zinterhofer, to serve as his second representative.

Lauder became a part of Estée Lauder in 1964 and has occupied multiple positions throughout his time with the company. Although he is resigning from the Board, he will remain the Chairman of Clinique Laboratories.

EL concluded Friday's trading session at $73.44, reflecting a decrease of 0.30 percent or $0.22 on the New York Stock Exchange.
