Snowmobile sales in the Twin Cities have taken a nosedive as this winter's snowfall remains hard to come by.

(FOX 9) - Snowmobile sales have nosedived this winter, with many dealerships in the Twin Cities metro struggling to unload their inventory - ultimately blaming the sales slump on limited snowfall this season.

Sales of snowmobiles have experienced a downturn.

The background story:

Snowmobile sales have declined sharply this winter, something dealerships blame on limited snowfall.

Randy Bedeaux, a co-owner of Leo’s South in Lakeville, mentioned that he sold just 11 units this season, despite having placed an order for 66.

With each item priced at approximately $15,000, the total inventory amounts to around $1 million, with the majority stored in stacked crates at the rear of his shop.

Bedeaux stated, "Whether it involves offering discounts or including extra accessories, we take every possible step to ensure we can sell some units."

Polaris faces challenges alongside Arctic Cat.

Here’s what we understand:

In November, Arctic Cat revealed that it would be laying off employees and halting production due to a decline in consumer demand.

In October, Polaris, headquartered in Medina, announced an 81% decline in its third-quarter earnings, attributing this downturn to comparable reasons.
