It might look like your average Welsh town house from the outside, but inside this Grade II listed property in Conwy are some downright bizarre features.

Presently listed for £875,000, this residence dates back to 1441 and is thought to be one of just two medieval structures found in the charming walled market town.

Rightmove refers to it as a 'distinctive property with a clear touch of elegance', yet the highlight that’s capturing everyone’s attention is a bathtub that seems more fitting for a Hollywood starlet than a rustic medieval cottage.

In one of the three bathrooms, there’s an enormous stiletto shoe on display. Instead of being a mere decorative item, it serves as an oversized bathtub that prospective buyers can actually step into.

The sparkly pink and purple tub – complete with a bow – takes centre stage in the cream-coloured bathroom. And, if that wasn’t extravagant enough, it’s paired with a slim sink in the shape of a coffee mug.

The unique feature—in stark contrast to the rest of the home—left people baffled after the listing was posted on the Reddit forum ‘Spotted on Rightmove.’

Some people have called it 'grotesque,' while others are curious about where to buy such a unique bathtub.

User domsp79 inquired: "Where can you even purchase one of those?" and "How on earth did they manage to get it inside with those small doors?"

While Malfestt added: ‘Where do you even get one of those? I’ve not seen one in B&Q.’

User pdoll48 couldn't believe it. "I wasn't ready for this! It's insane!" Meanwhile, user Lavender_sergeant commented, "This house is gorgeous. And then there's the shoe."

Another notorious villain remarked, "The whole house is an exhilarating experience. I was completely unprepared for that." Meanwhile, Own_Parfait_35 described it as "incredible and wonderfully chaotic at the same time."

Many were unexpectedly impressed by the distinctive design. Kistelek commented: ‘I truly adore every detail of this.’ Another person remarked: ‘What a complete chaos. I appreciate it for its uniqueness.’

Individuals seeking to infuse a comparable aesthetic into their bathrooms might find themselves feeling let down.

Launched in 2009 by the Italian design firm SICIS, the bathtub known as 'Audrey' was hailed as the 'most expensive in the world' back then, with costs varying between $17,000 and $41,000. Nevertheless, it has since been removed from their website.

The remainder of the cottage is (somewhat) less opulent. It features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which include two en-suites, as well as a generous garden space.

The entryway showcases a unique wooden beam overhead, complemented by white walls and rich dark wood furniture.

At the far end of the spacious dining room, a grand table stands, complete with a regal throne, perfectly suited for a monarch.

The living room features a charming rustic fireplace that serves as the focal point, positioned opposite a gold and black storage chest, alongside what looks like a church pew adorned with a long red cushion.

The second bathroom showcases a similarly vibrant design, featuring a striking black and white color scheme, a spacious standing shower, and a unique sink that runs along the wall.

The bedrooms appear to highlight the historic elements beautifully, showcasing a grand wooden four-poster bed, exposed wooden beams, original fireplaces, and stunning stained-glass windows.

Additional common characteristics consist of an expansive stone driveway accommodating several vehicles, a garage along with shed storage, and a stone wall surrounding the property. The townhouse further offers a picturesque view of the harbor.

The property, which underwent extensive gutting and renovation from 2008 to 2015, is characterized in the listing as ‘captivating’ and ‘compelling’.
